Jahr des Feuerpferdes

Today marks the beginning of a very special year in the Chinese calendar: the Year of the Fire Horse. A year bursting with energy, challenging and inspiring us with its fiery power.

The horses I saw at a horse market in Tusheti, Georgia, impressively embody this power. They live semi-wild in the rugged Caucasus Mountains in summer and migrate to the steppes in winter. These animals are not only courageous and agile, but also intelligent and strong-nerved. These are qualities that the Fire Horse symbolically imparts to us.

According to Chinese astrology, 2026 is a year of movement, development and growth.
The fire element doubles, as the yang fire in the heavenly stem meets the fire horse in the earthly branch. This powerful combination, Fu-Yin, amplifies everything: joy, courage, but also conflict and overheating.

The horse itself stands for freedom, independence, speed and expressiveness. Together with fire, it ignites a wave of dynamism, optimism and visibility that drives us to finally realise our dreams and plans.

The fire horse is a symbol of energy, devotion and unbridled will.
In Chinese culture, horses are considered lucky charms, as expressed in the proverb ‘Mǎ dào chéng gōng’: ‘With the arrival of a horse, success is assured.’

This year gives us the warmth and enthusiasm to boldly tread new paths. But where there is a lot of fire, balance and mindfulness are also needed. Those who use fire wisely will find the strength and inspiration to overcome challenges and develop further.

2026 challenges us to dare to move fast and embrace change without losing our inner peace. It is a year to boldly make ourselves visible, grow inwardly and see crises as opportunities. The Fire Horse shows us that every challenge holds the seed of something new. We are invited to make clear decisions and move forward with full force.

But whatever exercise you do, consistency is key. It is important to ensure balance and regeneration. Mindfulness, yoga, meditation, our tantramassage and walks help us to stay grounded.

Your body will be your most important compass in 2026 – listen to it in order to make sustainable use of the fiery energy of the year.
Use the Year of the Fire Horse to achieve your goals and rediscover yourself with courage, creativity and joie de vivre!
